Wonderful little gem

The model of the Ruston 88DS is a real success. The details are finely worked out, the paintwork appears to be of high quality, the driving characteristics are very good and the sound is fantastic. The weight of the small locomotive and the associated tractive power is impressive.
What would have made me and perhaps other continental European buyers even happier would have been a coupler pocket with an NEM standard shaft. I also know some narrow-gauge model railway enthusiasts who would like to buy the model if there was the option of changing the gauge to 22 or 16.5 mm wheelsets. The original was also built as a narrow gauge version.

I am also disappointed with the delivery modalities. At the last Guildex, staff at the Accurascale stand had assured me that shipping to Europe would be from Ireland. Unfortunately, my parcel came from the UK after all and when I asked, I was told that they had stopped shipping from Ireland a long time ago. Something doesn't add up.

Otherwise I am very satisfied and look forward to more high-quality models from Accurascale for 0 scale, perhaps a BR Grain Hopper or a Class 22?

Kind regards
Klaus Krueger
