Impressive, although my model has a tendency to derail when sweeping corners meets straight track. I suspect something is loose in the bofyshell.

Class 92 - an excellent model.... but....

Okay, this is not my first Accurascale model as I own two Class 37s already and was suitably impressed with both of them.
I therefore decided to get the Class 92 as they were rapidly becoming unavailable on the website.
Once again the locomotive arrived in the impeccable packaging the company has become renowned for (five or six layers at best count) complete with copious documentation and additional items to attach to the 92.
The locomotive itself is very smart with the livery application being probably one of the best I've seen, even compared to the 37s. The attention to detail is astonishing and I personally liked the white/orange cabling on the bogies, subtle and incredibly well done.
So, if I'm so impressed with this model, why the "but" in the title?
Well, two things which maybe are only on the model I received but its worth mentioning.
Firstly upon releasing the loco from its clamshell box, a small black oblong item fell out onto the table. I then realised it was one of the ventilation grills from the side of the 92. I've had to glue this back in myself.
Secondly I've had both NEM couplings drop out each time I've unbowed it which is three times in total.
Now, I've had locomotives from Hornby and Bachmann and I've never had to do repairs to them after getting them brand new. But, as I said, this could have simply been a problem with my one, a problem I've now sorted.

Would I recommend a Class 92?
Well yes, it's a wonderful model and if you can still get one then do so.

Once again, Accurascale prove to others just how to make a good model locomotive...

Great model

This is the forth Class 92 purchased. The livery looks superb. It is nice weight and it runs very well. It is also one of the best value-for-money locomotives available.

A superb locomotive

I picked up another superb class 92 when it was discounted for Black Friday. Very good value for an excellent model.

Another excellent model. Love it. I really can't believe how smooth they are and the paint finish is top quality. No scuff marks, misting, or blemishes like you sometimes find with other manufacturers. Please keep up this standard.

Beautifully made.

I'm so impressed by the sheer quality of the model. There is nothing I can fault it on. Great fun to drive as well. I think Accurascale may become the go to model railway manufacturer, certain companies can't afford to rest on their laurels.

Wicked sick

Runs smooth even on a not so perfect layout. Very loud sound from out of the box with nice recorded sounds. Would buy more if I could 💯
